Coping

In an American Psychological Association article it explains how exercise can help treat depression, a symptom of Bipolar disorder. When you're sad or stressed out what do you do to feel better?

  1. Well Nick, when im sad or depressed i either play video games or listen to music. They both get my mind away from whatever was stressful, sad or depressing. Jacob Schmitt

  2. When I'm sad, i usually listen to music, take photos, or go running-- I like doing things where i don't have to think in an emotional way, so i can just relax. Or I argue with people-- I love arguing, so it usually makes me feel better.

  3. Usually when I'm stressed I listen to music or I sleep because I usually just need to relax and get my mind straight.

  4. When I am trying to cope I listen to music because music has a lot of influence in my life it sort of plays with my emotions. Also I'll go on a run if I'm mad to get my anger out on what I'm coping over.

  5. When I am sad I usually listen to music> depending on the music I'm listening to it usually makes me feel better because my mood changes to fit the song. I also like to talk to my friends or anything that distracts me from my problems.

  6. When I'm sad I just try to have myself surrounded by my friends to cheer me up, or I just sit around alone thinking of what I can do to cheer myself up.
